Welcome back from the weekend. I hope it was a good weekend for you. Let's get started.

Saturday: Was a good day at the dealership, busy but not too busy. After getting home while it was still light, something I'm not used too, I relaxed with Angela and enjoyed some homemade ham and beans with cornbread.

Sunday: I started out taking it easy, then after Jared hit the road to go back to college, I started in with the mass cleaning project. I received some news on Friday that now makes this project all the more important and one that must be done sooner than later. No model work done this weekend.

So how about you? What did you get done? Let us know. We'll report back on Friday the 17th to start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, be safe and as always...

    High Greens!

*Sigh*. Nothing. Work, watched football, spent time with my web site host trying to get an SSL Certificate properly done. Sleeping. Everything but hobby stuff. Even with a lot of coffee... :(

Saturday: -- Went to my friends house for an OPS session -- it went great. We all had a wonderful time.

    Saturday afternoon and Sunday:
Well -- my "fun" project is done. I decided to do another foob/should have/could have been locomotive. I wanted to see what a BL-2 would have looked like had my beloved SP purchased them.

So -- without further ado, here is what I came up with.

    She started as:

    Stripped:

Mods made, details added and ready for decals:

    And -- ready for service:

Thanks, -- Hope Y'all had a great weekend,
    Wolf

Put down some more roads, spread some ground cover and painted some sidewalks. Fun stuff. Full recap in the N scale JPT Sub thread.

Here's some of the start on the ground cover

All details about this bridge diorama by Dirk can be found in the actual Z-Track Magazine.

    Enjoy!

This is a Z Maker S2 switcher kit I assembled and finished.

The shell, underframe, and truck sideframes are from Z Maker's Shapeways store, the handrails are from Z Maker's website, and the drive mechanism is from components of the Rokuhan Shorty with 6 wheel electrical pickup ( 2 have rubber traction tires)

Using Corel Draw I made the decals on an Alps MD1000, formed my own individual grab irons from .008" brass wire, laser cut window glazing and light pipes, and put a TCS M2 dcc decoder in it.

I painted inside the cab industrial green, and added an engineer, and the Northern Pacific's signiture Steam Bell that all their diesel switchers were outfit is from an N Scale locomotive. The depot is also a scratchbuilt to represent the NP Central Ave South passenger depot in Superior WI.

rray, I am astounded! thanks for putting together the first showing. I watched avidly the posts you did and all of it looks great! My patience was rewarded. :) As for me, as I began to install the passenger station platform, I did a test fitting of layer #1. Horrors! The turnout sliding plate retainer screw was located underneath the porch awning. Nothing to do but remove and reposition the turnout one inch south. So, this is now job one. The turnout issue initiated a turnout rework in general for that specific need. Which necessitated a turnout template upgrade. The fun never stops. Somewhere in the soup, I grabbed a pic of the passenger depot as it appeared when remodeled into a restaurant. I believe (hope) I read the owners restored the structure to original colors. Somewhere else in the soup, I discovered my building side cardstock did not match so well. Then I trundled off to the craft store and found what appears to be a very good match. Whew. Just writing all this has been a challenge. So that's what I did.

Alas I didn’t get much done. Attempted to solder feeder wires but the solder iron was giving me issues. So I have now purchased a new one. Hope it works. With my wife having had surgery Monday I gave myself a long weekend so I hope to get the stuff done. Especially with a train show next weekend this might be the only chance to work on the modules for a couple of weeks.

Not much at all in the model railroading department. I've been at the hospital by a family member's bedside at the hospital for nine days. All will be okay, but recovery from surgery will take a long time. I'm so glad that TrainBoard is here to keep me entertained on these long days.

Ok feeders soldered (the new soldering iron worked great) and track glued down. Now to get to the scenery and finish up a couple of structure and build three more for this module.[IMG]

Thank you. I'm the only family member within a thousand miles, literally. I've been passing some time by posting my slides on the Prototype photos thread. I wish I had more scanned to work on as I sit.
