    Hi all.

Just a quickie; does anyone know what size the screws to mount couplers on Samhongsa / Westside tenders are? I need to mount a kadee on the tender and the aux tender of my Q4, and would rather not do any drilling or tapping.

    Thanks much!

Have you tried the Kadee standard coupler screw? It is a 2-56 screw. It might be a place to start.

The screws in the tender are quite a bit smaller than the Kadee screws; half the diameter or so! I could drill and tap it for the larger ones I suppose.

The coupler screws for the kadee # 5 style coupler box are 1.4mm x 4mm long

As stated earlier, the standard screw is a 2-56. The Kadee boxes with three holes (one regular sized and two smaller ones on each side) use 2-56 in the middle and 0-80 on the sides. 0-48 is the same diameter, but with coarser threads, depending on which one looks right. I would say the 0-80 is what you are looking for if 2-56 is too large.

0-80! Thats it! Most tenders come with the holes drilled for the coupler boxes with two screws that go in the little ears. I just bit the bullet and drilled and tapped the holes for the 2-56 screws; with the plastic screws, they're easy to cut and hold it in place quite nicely!

0-80, off to order a box ofthose.

Nick had it right, M1.4 by 4mm. Japan/Korea etc use the Metric system so the screws and fittings are all metric.

Thanks guys. 1.4 x 4 mm. Should be able to get that from my local industry parts and supply place!
