    Like anything, when you just want to set fire to it, just walk away and come back to it a few days, weeks, months later. By then I'm sure you were glad you didn't light the match! :)

    Well...had some quiet time tonight and made more progress tonight than the past couple weeks. This half is almost done aside from a few more trestles, couple sections of track and more trees...oh and water...but I’m really nervous about screwing that up haha

    Gonna get some carving plaster to make these mountain not so much like the Italian alps lol

    So with winter coming, I was curious....I have my layout in my garage, will it hurt to keep it in there through the freezing weather?!

    Depends...

    You will get some contraction on some things with the freezing temps. Can never tell what will crack or worse. You may get lucky and everything will be fine.

    My layout is in an RV. Freezing temps all winter. Knock on wood (knock...knock) I havent had any layout damage in the 7 years THERR RV has been sitting in my backyard (y)

    Hey! I’ll take anything I can get loaner or not! I have all my wires ran and just bought the rest of the track, plaster, and scenery I need to get her running. No engines yet. Grabbed a walthers catalog today when I was at the hobby shop and looking to do and abandons mine scene and some logging stuff so any switcher would do nice for what little ops and photo ops I can get!

    Just perused your thread, and am impressed! Definitely need to keep plugging away! All of us "work" on our layouts in spits and spurts, and sometimes even get a LOT done in a short period of time!
    :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::p:p
    Then there are the rest of us!

    It is looking really good!

    Got some more track laid and ballasting done. Any input on tools to make rock faces on carving plaster so I don’t have to buy the woodland scenics toolkit would be appreciated! [IMG]

    Anyone know where I can get my hands on some Union Pacific 89’ tri-level auto rack?! Can’t seem to find them online anywhere and when I did, they were sold out.

    Just learned the hard way the nail polish remover melts plastic... :(. Turn out ruined. Thought it would work to loosen up the scenic cement that got on it...I was wrong. Boo.
