Charly As far as I can see Jour 2-8-8-2 locos are in ROEWA boxes. They have fine plastic arrangements of rods

Neat passenger cars Eugen, along with their boxes. I've been in N Scale a very long time and have never seen anything like them.
I had a set of C&O Rowa passenger cars. I think the cars were modeled after that railroad prototype. They all got kit bashed and repainted to Southern Pacific Sunset Limited for my first edition of that trainset. I found a bunch of the Budd roofs off the Rowa Sumbercoaches to make them all Budd cars.

I went looking for what is left of my old MRC/Rowa collection and found this in amongst mostly bits and pieces of old Rowa cars. Why I even have it is a big mystery to me as I have never been into modeling Amtrak. One black and one gray truck. Cool anyway, in its original box too.

I got the Western & Atlantic 0-6-0 and cars Hardcoaler has so I just took a picture of them together. Here is the early Rapido 0223 on which the "American" (not American type) 0223S is based. They Americanized it by removing the buffers and smoke deflectors on the loco and painting it all black. Here is the 2350 German prototype BR 103 electric express locomotive. And, the big 2215 German BR 05 4-6-4. I need to reattach the smoke deflectors which I somehow broke off while working on it. Doug
Oh man, you picked up some great models there! Arnold always makes me smile. I'll soon pull out my "old timer" 0-6-0 and cars for our Christmas tree railroad. As you know, the locomotive is a fantastic runner. That German 4-6-4 is a monster! I've never seen one before.
Yeah, the Arnold 0-6-0's run great. The 2350 and 2215 were in one auction and I knew the 2215 had parts of the left side valve gear missing (which is why I have it facing the other direction from my usual) but it sure is impressive with those huge drivers! It is a bit later model from the eighties but has the typical Arnold steamer drive. Worm/gear mesh is a bit touchy as the motor retention is a bit iffy with a very thin strap holding it down. The front of the motor can move up and down and depends on the boiler being in place to hold the front down. It runs very smoothly when right, however. The two I was most surprised to find were the 0223 and 0223S steamers, especially in the excellent condition they are in, as they are very early ones. Doug
