The flags are a nice touch Jim. That new scene just keeps getting better and better.

Thank you for posting your photos. Love the American flags!!! I have one on module 05 on my layout with plans to put at least two more on modules 03 and 07.

Sorry for the photo not being very good, just couldn't get enough light on it. Need to get the valance built with lightning. Have most of the materials but need some more Masonite.

The first twelve (of twenty) Briggs Models coil car kits are out of the paint shop and awaiting decalling and finishing touches.

I would have finished the lot by now except for trying to paint the first four with a rattle can - ended up having to strip them. Resurrected the 'ol Badger and got the correct color of Model Flex, and Bob's your uncle.

Finishing building the last of them currently, maybe begin decalling next week...

No modeling for me this weekend - museum time!

We ate a delicious barbeque with these two beauties simmering alongside - Frisco 1630 and J. Neils Lumber 5. Later, during night operations, they doubleheaded all the wy to Johnson siding about four miles out - slowest run ever!

Sharp-eyed viewers will note the North Shore Electroliner in the barn in the background. They're in the midst of a multi-year refurbishment to the interior and driving system that will come out of the shops like new!

IRM is perhaps my favorite place in the world.

We came close to meeting. I was eating just the other side of engines. Did you see the lighting of UP sign.

Yep. I was toward the north side on a bench. Then rode IT 101 - which dewired on the way out of station track 1...

Whilst getting an URL for a friend on Facebook, I confirmed my suspicions that the earlier photos in this thread have been blurred due to Photobucket's greed. My apologies to those who have to suffer for this. If I could edit my posts, I'd send the photos to my current host and redirect to them. The blurring goes to about the middle of page 44 - that's when I changed hosts...

Can't but notice the difference in the size of the couplers. The proportions make it look like an N scale on the left with a Z scale on the right.

:) You're right! I'm also diggin' the North Shore Electroliner looking on in the background.

The sharp eyed follower will immediately see something different in the following photo - wire on the fence!

Been thinking about doing that for some time now and finally just did it - around 30 feet, two feet at a time. An improvement. methinks.

Caption for the photo: A trio of UP locos takes the ladder track to it's waiting train, while the Oakville switch job stays in the clear.

Look behind the footboards. There is a plow. Which also gives a hints as to why the angled footboards, as they would better shed snow when plowing.
