I was hoping someone may be able to help identify the manufacturer of this detail part.

It, along with a few others, came already installed on and Athearn Genesis (Highliner Shell) EMD F7 A&B. As you can see it has two mounting pins that correspond perfectly with the outer holes in the shell for the MU cables. This lead me to believe it was a factory part, or atleast produced by Highliner but I can find no reference in the Athearn literature or details online about highliner. It is molded in a light grey plastic, similar shade to the Highliner shells and Details Associates parts.

I want to know as I would like to get some more to install on other Genesis Fs

So any help you can give would be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance

Appreciate your help. Given they were secondhand locos and not all all of them had them I assumed it was aftermarket parts...

I've ordered multiple times in the past from Athearn and not had any issues myself. I am awaiting a recent order which they insisted I rang up with my card details rather than e-mail them which was a little bit of a pain being an international call but it seemed to go through fine.

As I say I can see no reference to these parts in any Athearn literature or on there website. unless they aren't available seperately?

Agreed that's the problem trying to get the part's # on certain things.

The factory mu cable are most likely part of another package.

    Have fun and enjoy.
