Mayhem, like ME! He must have made sure the crew was well . . . 'lubed?'

And then he sent a crew from the SP up this way, too! No idea how he "lubed" that crew!

Well after the NP put a few cars on the ties and a couple more in a deep canyon they did borrow some Pennsy cars on occasion. In fact they actually put some motive power in one of those canyons.

Well . . . the NPBH hired a new Chief Mechanical Officer, of Pennsy origin. He arrived on sight and brought the 5448 with him, and a couple of passenger cars and a baggage car for his stuff. Of course, the management of the NPBH routed the stuff back to the Pennsy, but it got "lost" somewhere!!! And now, he made some calls to his connections in Altoona, and they sent a demo set out, the 5506 and accompanying train! It is a hit and may be purchased by the NPBH. Or sent back, and "lost?"

As for the NP dropping cars and locos, well they may, but being a bigger outfit they can afford to. This small road, cain't afford that kind of behavior, so deals harshly with any perpetrators of such incidents!

This pair of switches is all I have gotten done since Jan, and it was done in April. Life is taking some curves and changes. Am currently living in the Trainshed and using the shop shower and such. Am working on bailing out of a marriage gone sour. No need to go into details, but lets just say that it has been a brewing for a while. So, energy to do anything more than watch real trains has been low. And then this pair of ME #6's was giving me issues, so I built a pair of 8's. Obviously more to do, but at least I can run a train now and then! PIC_0641.JPG

Been there, done that man. Keep your head above water and you’ll find land underfoot sooner than you expected.
And if you get REAL bored, come by my thread and look at some relatively inexpensive upgrades to your Coast Daylight.

Saw this set on Monday at he service track in Glendive. The reason it is in this thread, is that this is the view from the backyard of a property I may be able to purchase! PIC_0898.JPG PIC_0899.JPG PIC_0900.JPG And this is the front of the house on a different day. The really neat thing is that it is liscenced for 6 Mobile Homes or RV's. I helped an out of state customer do eviction and cleanup here of this place and we are visiting about the purchase. It is very nearly a deal. Sooo, it has room for the trainshed and my work equipment and income units! PIC_0686.JPG

A couple of views of a short train pulled by a Model Power 2-6-0. It is an older one I built using the Bman slopeback tender frame and Loksound.

    And a second view,

Good stuff, I’m ages away from being able to run a train again, unless Carl and a Fifer’s club has another open house.

I've seen a few pics of 2 or 3 Pennsylvania cars in Livingston, Mt by the depot. Mostly Easterners heading to Yellowstone Park, and the cars were tied onto the NCL at Chicago via the CB&Q.

Also, the Milwaukee Road would borrow the Pennsy observation cars when they're own Skytop Obs would be in the shops, so you could see them all the way to Seattle!!

There seems to always be good reasons for east coast cars ending up out west and vice-versa! Just gotta love it.
