A few years ago... when Atlas was having a supply chain backup...some people might have been desperate enough to buy this.
But... really... is this actually a correct listing... or seller madness LOL.

I have a lot of used Atlas Code 80 flex track from when I decided to go Unitrack on the new THERR. I should be able to get at least half of what he is asking per stick ! Going to have to dig that big box of flex track out of the shed !! I'm gonna be rich $$$$$$$$ LOL !

And here i was just thinking of giving it all away to someone just starting out in the hobby.

He is also alleging "New In Box". While I do recall that C-C sold its Hudson painted and lettered for CB&Q, I do not recall B-mann's selling the USRA light mountain in N&W. In one of the photographs, it does look like the N&W lettering is an aftermarket addition. B-mann did sell its USRA heavy mountain in N&W with lettering per N&W practice in the 1920s: nothing on the tender, road name and number on the cab.

N&W never had any USRA light mountains. It did have heavies; ten ALCo-built originals and twelve Baldwin-built(!) copies.

.................but you don't understaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnd; they're RARE............................

Obviously, the seller forgot to put "RARE; L@@K!".

I think the flex track seller looked up retail price of track, but saw a case price somewhere. Then he deduced his lower price.

The listing has multiple photos, some of which show a Bachmann 4-8-2, and others that show a Con-Cor 4-6-4. Some even show both together in various ways. But, the first photo shows only the Con-Cor 4-6-4 and the item lists only a Bachmann 4-8-2. Do you really want to buy from this guy? What will he actually send you if you win a bid? How would you explain to eBay that you did not get what you bid for?

Yep... would NOT touch that listing. But wait... if you are buying by the wheel... then they both have 14 of them... so whats the problem???... LOL.

Yes... but don't forget that you will not have to pay the increased tarriffs... they are already 'baked' into the asking price... for the next ten years.

And now... if you're in New York, you also get to pay sales tax on all purchases on eBay after June 1... for other states effective other dates as well. Washington State and Minnesota led the pack with tax collection starting January 1. (But Minnesota has an exemption for small sellers.)

    https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/paying-items/paying-tax-ebay-purchases?id=4771&st=2&pos=2&query=Paying tax on eBay purchases&intent=tax#section2

(Yeah, I know we're all supposed to pay sales tax, so officially I have no comment on this or why other peer-to-peer sites such as TB's now have yet another advantage...)

Another nail in the coffin. I will now be figuring in another 8% (on both product and the shipping cost, of course) when calculating my maximum bids.

When it comes to taxes, California is the big winner and leader of the pack... When filing your state taxes, they have a line for you to put down how much stuff you bought on line so you can pay any taxes not collected (although Amazon and most others already collect the taxes).

If only you knew that money was being used to benefit the public instead of probably disappearing into a pension somewhere.

Washington State started it on January 1st, but it seems rather unethical to charge taxes for goods not actually purchased within the state.

Godzilla has been posted here before and it's still the same Godzilla (because somebody think that there's a sucker out there that's going to pay their crazy price). Godzilla is only a problem if you are modelling a Japanese railroad or Tokyo. Go, go Godzilla!

One of the Life Like Geeps is a dummy for sure, you can see through the fan on top from the bottom view. The Trix F7-B in the middle may be powered.

The listing states that the center loco is powered and the other 2 are dummies.
