I have a lot of used Atlas Code 80 flex track from when I decided to go Unitrack on the new THERR. I should be able to get at least half of what he is asking per stick ! Going to have to dig that big box of flex track out of the shed !! I'm gonna be rich $$$$$$$$ LOL ! And here i was just thinking of giving it all away to someone just starting out in the hobby.
He is also alleging "New In Box". While I do recall that C-C sold its Hudson painted and lettered for CB&Q, I do not recall B-mann's selling the USRA light mountain in N&W. In one of the photographs, it does look like the N&W lettering is an aftermarket addition. B-mann did sell its USRA heavy mountain in N&W with lettering per N&W practice in the 1920s: nothing on the tender, road name and number on the cab. N&W never had any USRA light mountains. It did have heavies; ten ALCo-built originals and twelve Baldwin-built(!) copies. .................but you don't understaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnd; they're RARE............................ Obviously, the seller forgot to put "RARE; L@@K!".
I think the flex track seller looked up retail price of track, but saw a case price somewhere. Then he deduced his lower price.
The listing has multiple photos, some of which show a Bachmann 4-8-2, and others that show a Con-Cor 4-6-4. Some even show both together in various ways. But, the first photo shows only the Con-Cor 4-6-4 and the item lists only a Bachmann 4-8-2. Do you really want to buy from this guy? What will he actually send you if you win a bid? How would you explain to eBay that you did not get what you bid for?

When it comes to taxes, California is the big winner and leader of the pack... When filing your state taxes, they have a line for you to put down how much stuff you bought on line so you can pay any taxes not collected (although Amazon and most others already collect the taxes).
Yes, New York has imposed this "use tax" for years. Given that sales tax is being charged by Amazon, and now eBay, and certainly others, I suspect that a larger number of New Yorkers (and New Jerseyites and Californians) will be entering "ZERO" on that line! If only you knew that money was being used to benefit the public instead of probably disappearing into a pension somewhere. Washington State started it on January 1st, but it seems rather unethical to charge taxes for goods not actually purchased within the state.
