Fantastic photo Buddy! That's a framer! I had to do a double check as it almost looked like a painting.
Looks like a canola train? Seen alot of these in Auburn heading south, monster trains!! Sometimes had a 3x3x2 for power!!
Could be. All I know is that it was made up of grain hoppers. There is really no such thing as a canola plant. The seed is basically from a modified rapeseed plant that can be pressed to extract oil, called Canola which is short for CANadian Oil Low Acid. There is a lot of controversy about canola oil and its supposed health benefits. But I digress..............
So long ago that the class and MARS lites are still intact and no ditch lights in sight.... Ahhh, the good old days!
Neat photo Russell! I find myself anticipating a blast of air in the vestibule and the roar of passing motors. My wife and I have no lengthy "bucket list", but we would like to someday enjoy a ride through the Canadian Rockies on the VIA's Canadian or perhaps one of the privately operated luxury trains on the CP. In the early 1970s my Dad, Mom and I traveled to Vancouver to ride CP's Canadian all the way to Montreal …… and the Canadian railroad unions struck. We made the best of it though, instead traveling by car and air. As a young teen, I was especially proud of this capture of two CN geeps using my Kodak Instamatic.
I wonder if the neighbors enjoyed that big cloud of gritty mess settling all over their vehicles, houses, etc....
