The museum in Rosenberg has boxes and stacks of old train magazines that they give away. They have no room to keep any more and turn down new donations all the time.
Amen! I still sell on feebay but , even though when I get my bill from them and PayPal and the first 13-14% is theirs. Hurts because usually lose money! But they have the biggest venue, so it makes sense at times. Now what gets me upset is feebay changes your listing if it's up for a week with no sale , to best offers accepted and that is just wrong because you have to go in and change what they change!!!
What are the lengths of auction you can choose these days? We used to be able to do one, three, five, seven and longer. Now?
Wow, I didn't realize N Scale could be so big... https://www.ebay.com/itm/athearn-n-...351020?hash=item3b304be66c:g:zVoAAOSwGrVcxNw1
Send your old magazines my way (especially some of the smaller magazines). I have a shelving unit out in the garage that I keep them on for the train club. Some day I plan on scanning them all (I even offered to help Train Life with missing issues but they are kind of all messed up now) and maybe I'll get rid of them then but for now I LIKE having hard copies.
Always remember to check the shipping costs before bidding... https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Tr...394254?hash=item3fc1cd428e:g:MKIAAOSwc9ZczyVw

AHM Lima Minitrains N scale 4441L Flexi-Flow Hopper Stauffer Center Flow | eBay< and another! I Have the same car and the paper insert says AHM. I say Dear God don't confuse the one who is bidding on this car if the bidder is a Long time model railroader, if the label is yellow and stating either AHM , ATLAS it should be posted as such . Two I presume that AHM / LIMA CARS had a blue and yellow cardboard box and PMI had a Blue Paper insert . Ithought this car was produced by ROCO for AHM and ATLAS at one point and not for AHM LIMA as the seller states. Tom
Yeah -- I suspect this dude (d***a(154)) -- will be in for a surprise -- as he or she really wants this stuff. I don't think he/she has noticed the expedited shipping cost. Purchasing all that stuff separately wouldn't come to $120-ish bucks -- I don't think. Wolf
I must be missing something. The rate for me says $12.30. I've tried it 5 different times. $12.30 each time.
I think eBay tries to automatically display shipping charges depending on where it thinks you are located.
Very interesting.... I'm in So. Cal. - The seller is in New York. What I see: Shipping: $88.35 Expedited Shipping | See details Item location: Mahopac, New York, United States Ships to: United States and many other countries | See details Crazy, Wolf
There may be some sort of penalty due to California's tax collection requirements. Possibly it was computed on the maximum value items, or all of the items value, taken together. Or, maybe the guy just doesn't like California or Californians.
Mahopac is in Westchester County above NYC. I'm in NJ right across the river. I wonder what Expedited Shipping is in this instance and whether the prices are geometric instead of linear to distance from Mahopac.
