Continuing my trip down memory lane. I think this is the First Norfolk Southern Engine I'd ever seen in real life. Or at least the first one I'd ever photographed. This is some time between 1991 and 1996 obviously. My guess is around 1993, but I don't have a date on it. The left most track has been pulled up already which means the Altenheim district bridge had been raised to clear stacks. For a brief period in the late 80s and early 90s, the 4th track now missing to the left was the only one that could clear stacks. Facing west from the River Forest Illinois Train Station. I forget the name of that Signal bridge, but it's at the Desplains River. I've posted from here before, it's my original railfanning location
