Hi all, after a long hiatus from this hobby, I've jumped back in feet first over this past winter and have a few items on the workbench. The current item in front of me is a Rivarossi Big Boy from the 90s (the redbox version with the NMRA flanges, nice can motor and flywheel) that is getting a TCS Wowsound & Keep Alive. This particular model is Riv's 4003 which was originally all black, so I've given the smokebox a more proper grey color and I'm adding some detail where it is seen fit. I've even added microscale decals, their UP Steam set, to the number boards. The problem I'm running into is there doesn't seem to be anyone that makes builders plates for HO scale steam. I've found O scale, and I've found diesel, but steam is nonexistent which I find extraordinary. Short of making them myself, anyone able to point me in the right direction? I get that they are small enough to not be too noticeable, but it seems a detail worthy of including if possible. M
Often steam decal sheets will come with them, won't they? Let me check on my steam sheets and get back to you! What builder(s) do you need? ALCO?
Not that I can see, at least none came with my UP Steam decal sheets. Plenty of cab numbers, number board numbers, tender details, and black UP shields but no builders plates... Definitely Alco! And I would say Schenectady Loco Works as well for a USRA Light Mike. M
Thanks fordy, I think the tichy set will do nicely. I think I came across their O scale set but not their HO set. Not sure why I had so much trouble finding those!
