Hey, wait a minute, that's how I describe locos that I sell! :)

I don't think it's worth the aggravation of adding an adjective such as "good," "well" and the like since that is so subjective. I will add if I think it runs "poorly" or "badly" or "needs a cleaning."

Am not recognizing that paint scheme, let alone as you noted, it being an EMD.

The BCR dark Blue first appeared on the Ex Santa Fe B36-7's or the 8-39B's.

The striping is upside down on those GP-7's and wasn't even on the prototype.

I rather they do take it out of the box to get good pictures of all sides and underneath. No surprises! New in Box doesn't necessarily mean it has never been out of the box. It just means it hasn't been run.

And how many people here remember when someone tried to sell "Mint in Box" -- literally, a mint in a box?!? The Powers That Be at eBay, obviously displaying a lack of sense of humor, cancelled the auction and warned the seller.

What really makes me laugh is auctions like this one.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-Minitr...h=item28731c544b:g:zXMAAOSwmfhcNOsT:rk:3:pf:0

It's listed as New. Maybe 50 years ago it was new. I'll agree it's in "Like New" condition, but it's not new. Also have to laugh at how it's listed as unmodified. So you're telling me Minitrix sold these U30CG in N scale with Micro-Trains couplers? I feel taken as mine came with Rapido couplers. They also claim Minitrix is a defunct company, but to the best of my knowledge, Marklin still manufactures Minitrix trains.

    https://www.trixtrains.com/

The best part of this entire ebay auction, they want $115 for an untested locomotive.

It's not really N scale but a toy...not powered so there's nothing to 'test'. Who would 'display' something like that to begin with? Finally, an engine that makes the Readers Digest engine look...acceptable.

    This one bugs me too:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/323647692120?ViewItem=&item=323647692120

Not because of the price, but because the seller, like so many others has an attitude.

They have the listing open to offers, but every offer just gets auto-declined. Why ever bother taking any offers if you are going to do that? (n)

If you want to get back what you put into it, list as a auction with a nice high reserve price on it.
