If you have a extra SD40 shell, that's a pretty good price for the mechanism. I'd venture to say with 7 bids, that is probably what they are going after, the frame, motor and trucks.

I know that circus stuff has a collectors value but that price for a MT circus caboose that retailed at around 20 to 30 dollars depending on where you looked?

They know that stuff rises in value when the company goes out of business.

Should we tell them that happens only when the company that made the item goes out of business because they won't make any more? They seem to think Ringling going out of business has an effect on the thing.

Same guy selling the clown caboose but when you figure in that those cars in the set are currently selling at 32 retail apiece and then the cost of the steamer not too far off the mark.

And there is still this mysterious "gem".

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-mi...296612?hash=item260bb6f3e4:g:p4YAAOSwKMxbSwhO

The box just says "Micro-Trains Undecorated Rolling Stock" and the seller has added "No.1" to his listing title. Other than the fine print that it is in the "Category: Freight Cars", a potential buyer has no clue what is in the box.

So, maybe just the name "Micro-Trains" is worth $18?

And perhaps it's only an empty box. ;)

Not with the case lid being damaged and a hole in it. The factory air has been let out.

What is this supposed to be? Talk about a very poorly created ad!

All of that silliness is why I stopped using ebay and closed my account with them.

I’m impressed the seller pulled a set together that fast. Only a couple days.

It's not the entire train, per the UP page, the train will be 13 cars, this is just 1943, 4141 and the 7 car business car set.
