Had fun driving trains, while working on the 2670, A-4 NP 4-8-4 Northern. I still need to dissassemble the tender, again, and build some right side pickup into the fram somehow. It is a purty thing! I installed the decoder and speaker in the smokebox, so now I can hear the sound from where it should be coming from!
The results of a winning auction! Now there is a nice looking streamliner behind that there k4s. So, I guess I had best get this Pacific put together to pull something NP. Am waiting for a couple things in the mail to help that A-4 get better.
And suddenly, the project for a simple, quick just add DCC/Sound gets more involved. Ever get one of those projects? Start with the idea of something simple and quick, then as you go along, add this n that to the list, and next hing you know, Major project! Anyway, here's pics; Started with just adding an NP headlight to the MP Pacific. Well. it ain't hard to move the steam dome, Or the sand dome, and cab and pilot....
More progress on the boiler conversion last night. Still more to do, and then lighting and lettering.
If ever anyone one says something should not be tried or done. My brother certainly will DO it. Lol. Tearing apart a model power is not for the faint of heart. Sometimes even those with a strong will! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Oh but still. It's a MP and a 4-6-2. Tells me your a bit of a masochist! Lol Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
After a long hiatus on vacation to visit family, including gcav17, did get the bug to do some track cleaning, lots of it, some minor track repairs, and just run trains! Then I just had to lay an extension to the one refinery siding, ballast it and the switch and add bumpers. So, of course, that means time to do some trains! And a video, of course!
And I got mail today! Nope, it doesn't fit my prototype area or plans, But it sure is purty!! The loco has a rough ride in the mail, But it all runs well!!
YES!! It finally arrived and even works!! So here she is after a bit of break=-in running pulling the Broadway limited, In other news, the CM&B finally transferred some freight our way, Added a light to the tail of my other lost Pennsy train, And here the two trains wait in the yard, The T-1 has pointed out a glaring bit of my procrastination, frogs need powered all over! Guess I had better put that on my to do list! I do believe it will benefit from a keep alive cap though. But I had best be doing some research before attempting that.
Ummmmm... How did that get there? I swear. Let one Peensy Pennsy through and all kinds of things go wrong! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
