    Maybe that's why even many years ago, crossbucks had signs that said "Stop, Look, and Listen". Seems that today's folks are too busy to take those precautions.

    It appears that the pedestrian crossing is equipped with barriers that force walkers or cyclists to slow down or stop to maneuver around to cross the tracks. No gates that alert them to on-coming train traffic. There is a similar setup on a CSX pedestrian crossing in Perrysburg, OH with barriers to force people to "zig-zag" each side of the crossing, as trains are permitted 50 MPH at that location.
