Hi Dan, I'm glad I found you here at trainboard. I see that you have moved into a house and have a train room. That is very good news. I look forward to following your progress on your layout. I have a layout thread in the O scale forum.

I have been busy on the trestle over the span above the new section of the layout. Its about 10 or so inches long. I still have two more bents to build. I rebuilt the trestle over the falls area and i have about half of the other trestle in that switchback area of the falls done. Have shots and one of the trestle i used as a guide. I should have the trestle ready to put on my desk and then finish the reinforcement of the trestle and stain. I will also need to finish the plaster before i can place the bridge back into place. Lots of things going on. Some i don't have pictures yet, but will get them up soon. Smoke

I am on the east coast of Florida, far away from the hurricane. It was just a normal day today.

It's good to see you still working on the layout. You are doing a very nice job.

I took a break from the trestles and worked on the houses. I think that the rains and humidity in the home have warped the houses. Not to sure what i am going to do yet. I might have to take them apart and add more stiffeners to them.I ran out of windows and had three doors left out of the two packages i had Micron art brand. Found one but need around 3 of them to finish the windows. There made of brass. Have a couple of shots below. Smoke

Still have a way to go. Hope to try and run some trains this weekend. Have a few shots of the waterfall,(still white), And the trestles. I have all but three turnouts done and have 3-4 power connections to get finished first. Shots below, Smoke

Thanks! I hope it will when done. I got my shelf installed and have the dcc unit set up but ran into a few issues with reversed wiring so am hunting them out. Have 9 of the 14 turnouts working. They had a need to be cleaned up so they would all work. At first i only had 3 or 4 that worked. It sat for 2 years plus with the dust and humid conditions before i started it up. I hope the rest will be easier so i don't have to tear up all the track. Have a shot of the new control panel. See you later, Smoke

Dust and humidity will gum things up but fortunately it's an easy though tedious fix. The little control panel looks good.

I have been busy with my family, three of them. Still not sure about them but one is having some hope for recovery. I did do a bit of work on the layout. I did the second coat of water on the waterfall area and made the falls so i need to finish it and that will be ready. I also made some changes on the new section as i just didn't like it so i made 3 changes and plaster is dry. I will be doing another coat yet to make it better. Have shots below, Smoke

My brother in law is out of the hospital. He will need rehab for awhile. No smoking, no drinking and less family around so he will be with his aunt. She will see he eats better. I worked on the layout today for awhile. First and Second coats of Spackle plaster on the mountains. Mostly likely will need another coat. Shots below, Smoke
