Been doing some searching via Google Maps, still haven't narrowed it down yet, but it's certainly Western Slope.

    But in the meantime....

Wash rack? What wash rack? Actually this says a lot about the actual condition of BN, back during those years= An absolute mess. If you weren't around them back then, you have no idea. :(

Judging by the condition of the locomotives I have images of, it certainly seem that things weren't in the best of shape.

And now a pair of Rebels

Bill, here's a photo of GM&O 1900, in case you don't have one. It was the only locomotive built by Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS.
Ingalls hoped to get into the diesel locomotive business after WW-II, but couldn't compete with the big boys, especially EMD.

Thanks! I wish I'd come across a view of this rather unique locomotive but alas, nothing.

However, speaking of rare things, here we have GM&O DR6-4-2000 280 on the scrap line in Jackson, TN, June 1965 (Fred Byerly)

For those curious, below is a builder's photo of this same locomotive procured from the internet[IMG]

I'm guessing that the Silver Cup was former CB&Q? Evoking thoughts of splendor, the Q had the most inventive and wonderful car names.

"Silver Cup" sounds like reference to a racing trophy of some type.

It is one of CB&Q's many "Silver" cars. And for those curious, that car still exists at some undisclosed location.

That's a nice comparison of the F-7A and the FP-7.

BN 832 was the very last F to run in Western Washington.

Photo of 5632 is very impressive. Though what I like most is there ain't no stinking infernal combustion diesel behind as "insurance".
