Here we are once again and we are within the last full weekend of July. Where does time go? And why does the average Midwest summer feel as long as just one Midwest winter month? Lets jump into it and see what we have on the agenda this weekend.

Saturday: Not much planned really. With Jared going back to college in a few weeks, it's time for me to get his car ready to go. This means new rear struts, new belts, a complete brake fluid flush, coolant flush and power steering flush. So that will keep me busy all day Saturday.

Sunday: It all depends on how Saturday goes, hopefully I'll get some "down time" and work on a simple experiment with the new(ish) Micro Train scale couplers. The reviews online are mixed but I have some ideas on making these work so the cars used on both my City Job and B&M modules look that much better.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 30th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

That would be me as well. This is the old brake fluid from my student's car. Ugh. It's a used car and I'll bet that the previous owner never changed it.

Another weekend of thissa and thatta:
    1. Workbench time on some cars I've started, haven't finished. Also cars that that are in horrid dis-repair will get some attention.
    2. Spend some time on a couple of the buildings I have at Albemarle City. Continued repair of the buildings from the former Albemarle Division layout.
    3. Programming work. Set up the hardware I've gotten together.
    4. Time permitting, work on a light valance over Albemarle City on my layout. I am not happy w/ the light, but I think I have a way to cantilever a canopy over it and run an LED strip down the entire run.

Ambitious, but hey... that's how stuff gets done.

Saturday: If I get my order from Microscale - I'll number the Lark cars that are waiting for them.(Then I can start adding the grabs and other details). And, start striping and lettering the Lark's articulated chair car. Do a little more prep work on the 22 roomette Pullman.

Sunday: Continue work on the Lark cars. Perhaps start another project or two - LOL.

Hope Y'all have a great weekend,
    Wolf

This weekend I will be adding the finishing touches to the Japanese module that I poured the Envirotex water on last weekend. This module is going to be intended to represent a warmer coastal area so I want to give it a bit of a jungle look that that mean lots of shrubs, trees, etc. Good thing it's a small module. Still debating about adding overhead wire supports or leaving this line to the diesel electrics.

I hope to download a new sound file and tinker with improving the sound quality on a N scale SD45. I am not sure after that as it is just to hot to be in the garage at over 100.

The Op session at Andy Keeney's Nashville road was fun. It was his first time using car cards. Mine too. I worked 3 trains: 2 road freights and one industrial local.

You can come visit Andy's yourself:
