Some of my N scale Santa Fe cars. The combine is pretty much a stock Atlas/Rivarossi. The other two are "fish belly cars" built up using brass car sides.
Managed to finish a couple of cars I had been working on this week! Branchline 50' ACF 50' Boxcar with Tabbed Sill, with 4-4 Dreadnought Ends I salvaged from a 40' Boxcar kit to match the prototype, added A-Line Sill steps, then painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Speedwitch Media Decals, car was built in 1945 to replace worn out pre war equipemnt, repainted in 1958 at East Rochester. Intermountain 4550 CF NSC Covered Hopper kit, substituted a Plano Roofwalk for the cast plastic one, painted with Scalecoat II ATSF Red and lettered with Herald King Decals. Car was built in 1978 for hauling potash. Now lets see the really good stuff! Rick Jesionowski
A big Thank You to everyone who came out for the N Scale Enthusiast Convention and made the show a huge success! @RBrodzinsky and I staged this photo op with the new C39-8 and the whole Scale Trains family. We turned the odometer from 0 to 61.3 scale miles Saturday. I just need one word to describe the look, operation, and sound of the new C39-8; perfect!
