Just received a rokuhan T012-1 with this extra. I had hoped it was a set of couplings I could use for a marklin wagon set. Any ideas? Clearly lost one unpacking :-(
Appears to be roof details. On this page (link), they list the item and the instruction is linked there. Direct link to the manual (all Japanese): http://www.rokuhan.com/english/prod...sel locomotive series, instruction manual.pdf
Thanks for the link It has clarified and muddled at the same time. Not understanding Japanese it shows a plastic template (included in set) which has a 1mm hole to guide a drill to make a hole in the centre of the roof. This hole is then filled with one of the bits...plugs. Completely foxed as to why this should be. None of the images of the t012 on google show this type of roof?
Have you tried looking at a photo of the prototype? It does look like it is some sort of beacon. If it is, why not add a nano LED in the hole? Just a thought (or 2.) Jim
Never thought of that. Just looked at real t012 and think you are right. Not sure that a shaky hand and 1mm drill piece is worth the risk of adding it Cheers
Grabbed the text from the page and dumped it into Google Translate. Also, use iPhone to 'read' it. 2) Radio Antenna (1 is 'preliminary' it says) Lost in translation 3) The included 1mm guide looks to be thick to help you drill straight. Besides that Antenna detail, you add a Beacon bu using a short fiber optic or clear styrene, flush on the underside of the roof. Mount a yellow LED under it. If there is limited room, use a longer fiber and mount the LED elsewhere. You can drill a hole in the end of a T1 LED or sometimes find leaded (leee ded) smaller package LED's (smaller than the typical T1's)
