Are those truck side frames also a Shapeways item?

Yes but I don't know if you can buy them separate from the model.

In Indiana the interurbans built their own power plants and sold the excess electricity to the cities they served. The interurban that ran between Peru and Wabash Indiana had its power plant half way between the two towns out in the country. So what did they do? They built an amusement park between the two towns. Thus, Boyd Park was born in rural Indiana. You could hop on an interurban and be at the amusement park in a matter of minutes for fun all day!

The body lines of old interurban motors are much more appealing than todays rectangular boxes....

Not sure if these are Interubans......

But here is a project I did last year.

Picked up a very rare set of brass Silverliners for Pensy. Ran like crap as I expected.

I fixed all the running problems including adding flywheels...

Equipment like this are often called "heavy electric" or "steam road" cars since they are larger (by a mile) than typical interurban cars. Pacific Electric's larger owl cabbed cars and South Shore's many variants are pretty much the exception to what typically are considered "Interurbans" because the cars are larger than what most roads had.

Those Silverliners do look good... thanks for sharing your work.

Or might they be a closer cousin to what we think of as "light rail" today? Even though they ran on "heavy" rail.....

Thought I'd give this thread a bump. I got some new stuff in the making so there should be some surprises soon.

February 22, 1953 was a special day for the Pacific Electric. It marked the only time that a Pacific Electric PCC car went down the Airline. Fortunately, they ran the PCC’s down to Playa Desnuda almost every weekday during the summer for people to enjoy the beach view. Here we have the last car heading back to Los Angeles on June 11, 1952 as the sun is setting….Fortunately I had two cameras with me and I was able to get a decent picture with Kodachrome…

Thanks for the thread bump. Sadly my job has been getting in way of a lot of projects I want to do but the income is pretty nice. I do hope that in the near future some Shapeways designer will have it in his heart to make some Pacific electric equipment for you bremmer although there are some nice lookalike steeple cab locomotives available.

    I have been collecting these however> https://www.shapeways.com/product/K...d-devil-quot-mk1?optionId=64045805&li=ostatus

This designer is one of the very best.

I'm really glad he brought his CERA box trailer to N-scale. I still need to get a bunch.

now I need a pair of chassis, Santa Fe red for the body, Union Pacific gray for the roof, and Southern Pacific passenger car green for the trucks...a set of Microscale PE decals and get custom butterfly stripes decals

They are being shipped to me...

Last week, I bought a pair or long out of production Miniatures by Eric Pacific Electric shells. The passenger unit is a 1100 class, and the box motor is a 1445 class. Both of these will be powered by Tomix chassis.

I can’t wait to see real Pacific Electric traction on the Playa Desnuda branch.
