what did you use for the silver, on the Fs, to match the MicroScale decals?

Wolf, quick question: what decal set did you use for your Golden State E7 units? I can't seem to find a match from any of the Microscale sets.

 

Hi Taylor,

I used: N Scale - Southern Pacific / Cotton Belt E-Unit and PA Diesels (1950-1958) Diesel - Cabs -- Stock# 60-50
I painted both the red and orange (Of course the black on the roofs) then added the stripes (decals) and lettering.

My next what if/should be locomotive is going to be an SD70ace (My version of an SP heritage scheme) -- painted in black widow. I like your GE's -- they are much better looking than UP's goofy Daylight heritage scheme. Your GE black widows are my inspiration.

Wow thanks Wolf, coming from you that is quite a compliment. Much appreciated. Yes I will be doing another 1or2 of the GE's or SD-70 Ace's.
My father was a hoghead for 42 years on the "Old T&NO" and then the newer "T&L Lines". I can remember very clearly the arrival of the "Widows" when I worked the PFE docks. My father actually allowed me to start a 100 car train out from under the docks for 1/2 mile only, teaching me how not to get a knuckle or bounce the caboose, but what a thrill. (California cantaloupes) headed to East Coast. I was all of 18. What a real thrill with an A,B,B,A set. Real railroading and it has never left my blood stream.
