Later that day in South Seattle, same SW1500 heading back NB to Stacy St. Yard.

That single horn on the roof gives it a nice, old school "BLAT" sound to it!!:D

Old units at Stacy St. Yard. Ironically, that 1519 is about 30 years older than the 3422!!! It started life out as a GN FT-unit!! Rebuilt to a GP5 by the GN, then to it's last body design by BN.

"Freckles", former Washington Central RR 202, now BNSF's Interbay switcher, moving an NS loco in front of the ex-GN roundhouse.

It surprises me to realize how few photos of any Amtrak switchers, in and around Seattle, I have ever seen. I wonder why? Even I failed to catch them.

When not in use, it's usually hiding in the coachyard, hard to see!

Found a couple of switchers up near the Humpyard. GN for both, odd that the "BNSF" has been painted over on them....2727 is on the hump lead. IMG_20181116_121857.jpg

Locomotives roam far and wide. I see that NS's Penn Central heritage unit (NS 1073) was in Tacoma last night serving BNSF.
