Wonder if anybody ever tries to contact these individuals and inquire are they out of their mind. And if somebody actually buys those vastly overpriced items we can count another one in the lost mind category.
I don't think they really want to sell..... "see honey, I put them on the bay and nobody wants them. I guess, I'll just have to keep 'em" LOL Wolf
OTOH- She sees that dollar amount. Assumes it is real. In the ensuing divorce, you get those trains, but she gets that dollar value from the marital estate. OOOOOOOPPPPPSSSS!!!!!!
I wish this had been the case with my ex. But it wasn't. She saw those prices and fixated on them. And to the lawyers we went.....
Be glad she didn't see the face value of your life insurance and fixate on that. My ex did that. Sorry I had taught her how to shoot a gun.
May have been a typo as if you look at the listing now it's 1/10 what it was for a pretty reasonable $88.
Wow!! That layout (and the camera images) are fantastic. Apparently there is an internal battery good for 130 minutes (I googled it), so that cord is just recharging. I only watched 5 minutes but this guys track work and signals are unbelievable.
Why not? It's N scale. I've many of the same flats and trailers this gentleman has. Now if I only had that much room!
The camera's wide angle lens has substantial barrel distortion. It is not too apparent when watching the plywood go by, and the signals are not too distorted, so that goes unnoticed. But, the effect on the track is to make it appear that it tilts to the outside of the curves. I would have liked to see a shorter demo done on a layout with scenery. The layout he did use certainly was impressive for size and signaling.
Kind of surprised no one has recognized Chris's layout? And yes, it's N scale. http://www.trainboard.com/highball/index.php?threads/tehachapi-layout-progress.72076/#post-848716 http://www.nscale.net/forums/showthread.php?26282-Tehachapi-Pass-in-900sqft https://www.facebook.com/NScaleTehachapiPass/
This one definitely comes under the LMAO heading: https://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Sa...233208?hash=item1ca1c6a038:g:okEAAOSwqNBaiIxp
Uh...well, he wasn't kidding in the description when he called it a crazy-looking engine. At first glance I thought it was some sort of weird center cab. As far as actual value, he's probably right about on the money. It sounds like it runs, at least.
Well if someone is looking for repair parts for an old RSD unit not bad for a body, trucks, gears, and a motor.
