Hi guys, sorry I'm so late with this. Spent yesterday at the Dickens Fair in San Francisco and it slipped my mind, A single GEVO waits on the valley sub for an east bound stack getting ready to tackle Donner.
In my longest exposure yet, WB BNSF autoracks leave the long siding east of the crew change point. Canon T5, 18-55mm @ 18mm f/20 634 sec (over 10 mins!)
While I was waiting for my pilot driver, I had time to snap a few pics. Sometimes it just gets distracting being around the tracks all the time!
HO & N. Athearn makes the Ford C model truck would just have to adjust frame length and add short flat bed.
They are SD40-2/SD40M-2 guts in SD45 car bodies. Genesee & Wyoming did similar with recent additions to the Maryland Midland fleet
She is a fun little truck! 361 truck enhine with a split shift 10 speed. It has been a reliable rig for a few years now, having nhad it for about 7 years. This year she has cost me though! The fan launched itself through the radiator, so it has a new custom radiator with electric fans. New steer tires, new clutch and new radiator expansion tank! But, my Fri-Sat trailer move went well! Yup, she;s a fun old truck!
You bet that's a cool old truck! I remember those buggers from back when I was a kid. Kinda neat how the headlights and grill make a face on the front end.
I make similar faces when I see other drivers being thoughtless around the trailer houses being moved!
Caught this SB UP train over the Thanksgiving holiday in Turlock, Ca. It even had an old steel Western Pacific wood chip car, but I wasn't fast enough to get a photo of it.
Ya'll ready for winter?? I took this at Scenic, Wa of a WB BNSF stacker exiting the 7.79 mile Cascade tunnel over Stevens Pass 3 years ago. Haven't seen much snow like this for a few seasons now, maybe this year will bring a good snow!!
