    Evening all,

After some time away I finally got back to work on my railroad projects. I had to change the name of all three layouts to the CBA&MJB, long winded but it works here. After getting some new buildings ready to locate I installed a sound system in one of the U25B locomotives. It's a Phoenix system and wired in easily to the Airwire already installed. The funny part, now anyway, was that after getting everything put back together I discovered I had no range past about 2 feet. After taking it all apart again I found that the antenna, which snaps into place on the Airwire, had come loose! No wonder it had no range. A 15 second repair and another half hour putting it all back together gave a great sound I've not had on this railroad before. Something to keep an eye on but I'm very pleased with this project.

    Sound is great, isn't it?
I can't relate to the pinched wire situation also!!
Had a GP30 almost reassembled, when I found the unused smoke unit
wires and plug hanging out from between the body/frame!
Had to pull everything apart, just enough for the wires/plug back!
I've got one more GP30 to convert to Airwire/Sound.
Problem is, this unit has maybe 2-3 stripped out screw heads!

I started this thread last summer and am only now getting a little video done!! It's a new camera and although I've been a photographer for years it's my first one with video capability. The problem? I looked through the entire 483 page instruction manual, not one word of English!!! I had to call the store where I bought it and they got me going. So here is a little video and sound, done this afternoon. Autumn has helped drop many leaves and acorns around and most of the layout is put up for the season. You may see a bridge in the background, that goes up in a month or two. Or three....

Just paste the video URL in a post. If no URL, then it is on your computer. You MUST upload it to a web site, or we cannot see it. Or software cannot link to your computer.

I don't have a website of my own and don't really plan on getting one anytime soon. Most places I go to regularly I can simply download photos/videos.

You do not need to get a web site of your own. There are photo and video sites a-plenty. YouTube, Vimeo... We have our own RailImages, free to any TrainBoard member. (Same user name and password.) But the size uploaded has limitations.

Ken's right. I have my own blog at https://sopacincg.com and due to the performance of a shared hosting account (highly optimized) I host my videos on YouTube. Some of mine are set to private so they don't come up in the search.
