The official Model Railroading month of November is here, leaving some of us to wonder, is 2017 really almost over? The times, they are a flyin’!

Saturday: With Trainfest in Milwaukee officially next weekend, I’m officially busy! My Saturday will start early once again as I make a trip to my favorite hardware store to get some things for the shop. From there, I need to go to the automotive shop and get brake pads for Jess so I can install them when I get home. Jess needs to be 100% since Angela will be driving her next week while I commandeer the Journey for Trainfest. Once all my domestic duties are done, I’ll be heading to my not so local hobby shop where they will be having a customer appreciation day. I also need to pick up a Micro LED for my last DCC project. During the week, I worked on my CB&Q GP30. The same one I custom painted and detailed in a thread here at Trainboard way back in 2004. The frame had to be modified but last night I got the last of the instal done. Once I get the nose headlight installed, my short list of locomotives heading to Trainfest will be done.

Sunday: I really need to start packing and getting the switch list for both days done. Hopefully I can get all the loose ends done Sunday so that the Thursday night load up won’t take too long.

So how about you? What do you have planned? Let us know. We’ll all come back on Monday the 6th. Also, don’t forget to turn back those station clocks one hour on Saturday night. We don’t need any corn field meets on our layouts. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe, have fun and...

    High Greens!

Well, our daughter's wedding went off without a hitch. However, we are watching our granddaughter whilst the newlyweds are on their honeymoon. So, my projects will be on hold/ I may be able to sneak in a moment here and there.

Hope y'all have a great weekend,
    Wolf

Jim, I'm guessing you'll be at Trainfest with the layout? Looking forward to seeing it again!

I started decaling my Soo Line heavyweights for Trainfest this week, and I need to finish up detailing some passenger geeps. We'll see if time allows....

Made a trip to my LHS Thursday to pick up some more rail tie brown paint as I had run out painting the track on the Battle Mountain section of the layout. While there, I stocked up on some styrene to start a scratch building project of a large warehouse as a shallow relief building. Trying out an idea I had to create a tilt up wall type of building and have been satisfied with how that came out. Photo below shows where I am at right now. Got the basic building done and will be working on details for it over this weekend. We'll see how far I get. May also get back to painting the track.

May you all have an enjoyable weekend whatever you are doing.

Doing some more scenery around the rock molds.
Maybe try to paint a little of the backdrops.
Every time I do something with this little part of the MRR, I see a dozen other things that need done.
Like trees, oh yea some more rock, and hey I need to put some highlights on that rock.
I really don't care for scenery that much but I like how it brings things to life.

I have been on a paint and tool buying binge. Saturday, I'm hoping to finally get my place in order. I've got to move some stuff around, get rid of some of the nonsense that I've accumulated so I can set up a work area for my models.

Yes sir. Not as much done on my modules as Bill's but that is because of the impending Mk. IV modules. Lots of new locomotives however. See you there!
