Here we have "the find of the year" http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-scale-pas...138697?hash=item25dd182b89:g:TVkAAOSwl5pZie63 At that valuation, I could sell all the ones I have and buy a real railroad.
The description says that they would look good behind a 4-8-4. Sorry guys, if you use any other kind of locomotive, you have failed at railroading.
Yikes!!! I have that exact four car set, in original boxes, and I am THE original owner. My uncle bought them for me at a hobby shop in the LA area many years ago. Guess I've been "sitting on gold" all these years.
Some of his other prices are rather high as well (but not this stupid high). LL UP PA with a $91 starting bid and a $180 BIN: http://www.ebay.com/itm/n-scale-locomotive-/162620286587?hash=item25dceca67b:g:6rkAAOSw20JZh2EF and two Model Power buildings $55: http://www.ebay.com/itm/n-scale-buildings-/162620258232?hash=item25dcec37b8:g:frgAAOSww5JZh1vB
Um, what's wrong with putting them behind a 4-8-2? Why wouldn't they belong behind a Hudson or Pacific, especially since there are only four of them? Indeed, who would carp about them being hauled by a 4-4-2? Since they don't appear to have been air conditioned yet, I'd say a 4-6-4, 4-8-4 or diesel would be the least appropriate options. ATSF 4-8-4s are for fifteen air conditioned cars, not that puny string.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bachmann-14...995729?hash=item33d4787351:g:ADQAAOSwwVRZi3W7 How did a Bachmann "65-foot shorty" combine become a "locomotive with wide door"?
What's ironic (although it really was about a locomotive) is that the one piece of negative feedback that the seller has received includes the comment: "Took my money and Loco did not run!" Anyone else getting a sense of déjà vu?
All real 1:1 steam engines were unpowered. The trains behind them either had a freight or passenger car with a power unit hidden inside. That is how model railroaders got the same idea- from copying the real thing!
Good thing I read that on the Internet, or I never would have believed it! Maybe BLI could hide a boxcab in a cattle car - if it moos instead of making engine noises, NOBODY would catch on.
Since you got me looking...while not that expensive, it's still $20 for this beauty: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Arn...086657?hash=item3aecde2d01:g:6zAAAOSw44BYgY7n
Here's a flat car that both Lionel and N Scale modelers can evidently use. http://www.ebay.com/itm/O-Scale-Lio...063990&hash=item3aec91a20d:g:0CcAAOSwGrFZg5W~
Have you guys sold anything in the auction site lately? It's totally and completely buyer biased. There are zero penalties or consequences for bad buyer behavior. Meanwhile, sellers are struggling with all kinds of bad ethics and behavior on the part of buyers while eBay looks the other way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You misunderstand. It says B N Scale. That means it uses 1/43rd as much green paint as the real thing.
