Phase Two:

You guessed it...Yep, that's me. Much younger at the time. Clean shaven, my hair is red and curly. Not so anymore.

You don't mind my exercising my bragging rights.... right? Yeah, well I will anyway. I had fun building this layout. You see for me the fun is in building. Scenery...well...yeah, I'l get to it when I quit building the darn thing. One good way to ruin a perfectly good operating railroad is to scenic it.

I'm in the middle of remodeling the layout. The remodeling will create two routes and a third level. The main line will split where one track will go up and over the top of the layout and return to the lower yard via a one and a half helix. The original main will remain as is and drop back down to the lower yard.

The certificates hanging on the wall over my left shoulder are my dad's, diploma from the California College Of Mortuary Science and a California Embalmers License. Hopes for owning our own funeral home were never realized. Besides, I would have sold caskets out of a sales catalog and used the selection room to build a huge layout.
