Nicely preserved. Looks like there are some other buildings. Is there a web site for an organization that has done this work?

Hi, Boxcab!
Here's a link about the Marion MRR Club and their home page:
http://www.marionmodelrailroadclub.org/about.html
http://www.marionmodelrailroadclub.org
Here's the link for the Marion Union Station Association:
MARION UNION STATION ASSOCIATION
Doesn't seem like they have a lot of info online at the moment. There is contact information on the first Marion MRR Club link page.
Great place to visit if you enjoy railfanning. The two sets of double-diamonds - one set right next to the tower and the other next to the station - are only about 120' apart. Average traffic is ~65 trains per day. And cameras ARE welcome. =O)

Interesting web sites! I'll explore them a bit more. 65 trains? Sounds great!
What is that gray (wood?) building across the tracks from AC Tower? It almost has a depot appearance?

Sorry, Boxcab. I'm afraid I can't help you with that one. I did try to see if I could find something on it but I wasn't able to. It's pretty run down, whatever it was used for. Perhaps you could e-mail the Marion MRR Club and they could tell you what it was.
While I was digging around, I did find another link with information on the station and the preservation group:
Marion Station
Hope that helps...

An additional thought to add. The AC Tower was moved from the opposite side of the tracks to it's present location a few years ago. From the map in the link above, it may have had some connection to the tower, since it appears they might have been in close proximity to one another. Perhaps an employee quarter or MOW of some kind? Just a guess...
