Japanese Rail D-51 222 on display in Yogi Park in Okinawa Japan. This is a Mainline Steamer that used to run in Mainland Japan and was brought to the islands for display. Okinawa has not seen Rail traffic since before WW2. This 2-8-2 is certainly a long way from home! Picture was taken in 2005 while on tour with US Navy in Weatern Pacific.
