Anyone here watch any You Tube videos on model railroading? There's a lot of videos of differing lengths available with the majority, of course, being HO. But there are some N scale ones also. I watch them at the gym I go to. The new treadmills have a Wifi ability and it makes time spent running or walking, while not going anywhere, a lot less boring. Some of the 'how to' videos are particularly interesting and I picked up on some hints and tricks that I am wanting to try. Just type in 'you tube n scale' into a search engine and you are on your way . Or you can use the following link:

    youtube n scale

I have found a fair number in several scales. Also, some very interesting scenery technique stuff, well worth a look.

I'm a full blown YouTube addict, both model and prototype videos! I have some "down-time" with my job & I have a iPad holder on my stationary bike...

Just can't get enough of YouTube!

There's some very good stuff out there such as Mike Fifer's series and Ron's Trains & Things that are informative and well produced. I'll be the curmudgeon with a short attention span and say that I have no patience for videos in need of editing. Video editing software is cheap and easy to use, and I have no want to watch an empty track (either model or prototype) watching and waiting for something to happen.

You could visit BarstowRick.com but then if I suggested such, it would sound like I was bragging. See signature below.

Plenty of N Scale videos as well as others on You Tube. Do I dare suggest more bad information then good? You should be able to sort it out.

I use my Youtube channel to document stuff I do.
Most are sort of boring performance related videos.

Unless you had that particular loco that I have improved or quieted down, you might not be interested.
But the videos are great especially for documenting before and after improvements.

For example a before and after video of improvements to a brass Kumata Milwaukee Rd EP-2 -- before can barely pull itself to now pulling 9 passenger cars and running fairly smoothly.

So when I do a project on a forum, I often document what I am doing.

There are great channels and videos up on You Tube, Daryl Kruse's Geneva Subdivision is awesome, and of course Mike Fifer's pages, are some of my favorites. I upload my videos of my trains running at some of my local clubs (Andy Knobloch).

Great videos and great modeling, Eugen! I like how the second one looks especially like it was filmed with an N scale drone! The camera is so steady!

It is. Started this channel many years ago and wasn't sure what exactly I was going to use it for. Back then, I used my callsign for just about every forum login :)

Just got wind of this one last evening: YouTube Model Builders.

Miles Hale and his wife Fran featured. Goes for about an hour. New one every Tuesday evening. You can watch live in fact and send in questions to them while the show is being filmed.

I've got about 30 out there on the Santa Fe layout, my Climax and other resin kits, CF7's, etc. Just search for "randgust". I'm now into a 4th generation video camera from where I started, so they vary from very crude to ....better. Oddly enough the crude shots of the Class B Climax is still the most viewed.
