The SD's sure looked huge back then, almost as big as the F's and E's.

Wish I could time travel. That GP30 led freight surely shook the ground some in passing! If only I could have been there!

Nice comparison of your shot with Bob Jordan's, 45 years apart.

I think the 5771 shot is at Plain. Not much to go on, though.

No clear-cut location for the second photo. Doesn't look east side of the Divide. Maybe west of Moffat Tunnel? But look at the piles of snow accumulated behind the domes! Must have been a wicked storm they passed through!

Awesomeness! Is that a handcar shed at the Coal Creek loop? The intermediate signal here is clocked so much you almost can't see it unless you're about half a mile away!

Beautiful view of a REAL passenger train. We desperately need these styles, luxuries back again.

Those are great, Will. Driving through Glenwood Canyon used to be full of happy surprises on the rails. It has been so long since I have been there I'm sure things have changed. That Bob Jordan shot brought back memories.

Love seeing all of those domes. Unlike ATK today, that car design allowed a view forward. Instead of the neck straining sideways twists of today... :(

I wish there were some shots, but I didn't see any at the time I was buying them.
