At the Chehalis-Centralia Steam Ride grounds.....
Love to see this old veteran restored, maybe with a "Route of the Olympian Hiawatha" on it.
I, too, would love to see it restored. Of course they will say it takes $$$..... Which we all already know.
I wish someone would do a book on the ribbie styles and classes.
A bittersweet sight.
Somewhere in my collection, I have a picture of a MILW ribside boxcar next to the KCS mainline north of Heavener, OK. Most likely there after one of KCS's many "oopsies" during the Deramus (William IV) years..........
Stopped by again and got some details shot for you all who might want to model it....
That car actually belonged to my Uncle who had it in Mineral, WA for a time. I think he has since for all intents and purposes donated to the CCRR. It's essentially a tool car.
Oh, wow!! Being a Milw fan, this would be sweet to own, and restoring it would be a labor of love! The other one up at Snoqualmie was looking good awhile back, but I haven't seen it for awhile now.
Did they ever get a second door for it?
Not that I know of, it's been two years since I saw it, and I only live 20 minutes away!
That door has been removed for decades now.
