I did not build my layout to any prototypical area but I generally tell people I model Union Pacific. I'd appreciate anyones comments on where you think my layout represents on the Union Pacific. Have a look at my site and let me know what you think. Nice layout!!!! Judging by the looks of it, I'd say around the Midwest, maybe ex-CNW territory. Second guess would be California, but the Soo line SD60s make the Midwest my choice. Which would be correct..........too bad I can't just pop over & see the layout in person......
Maybe the Boise cutoff of the Oregon Short Line, OSL track between Twin Falls yard and Nampa yard in Idaho. The scenery looks similar, and the track plan kinda fits.
