Nothing new, moving next week, then have to start putting everything back and set up my work area for modeling.

Here is one of my favs, from our club layout, in Las Cruces. This scene used to be on one of NTrak modules.

It is my version of the Gila Cliff dwellings North of Silver City. Also my train below.

The still was captured from an MOV file. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking,

    HOexplorer -

Your work and photography are both, no doubt, among the best. Thanks for the postings.

BTW, you said " snow somewhere ". Ski Apache in Ruidoso, New Mexico had 3" of snow Wednesday. The earliest snowfall in over 10 years. They are praying this is a sign for a good season as the past several have been dismal at best.

Thanks again for displaying your art,
    Carl

Great work and photographs as usual!!!
Here i am experimenting with placement of various scenic elements. Nothing is glued in place and i need to make the whole grass/turf cover more yellow/brown to be more representative of South Pasadena in late Summer/Autumn. (I have seen images of the scenes i am interested in with green foliage, and with yellow, even in Autumn... i reckon yellow/sepia/brown might fit better.)

So... South Pasadena, 1969, the local freight westbound about to pass under the Fair Oaks Avenue (not seen in the photo yet...).

And in the following day, eastbound on its way to San Bernardino...

A Western Maryland local runs into feline problems while running-in some repairs to GP-9 no 36. The MOW crew had everything back on the track shortly, and the cat was soundly scolded... not really. She's a cat. She'd not listen anyway.

Some red and grey on a sunny afternoon. I painted these three UTAH RAILWAY items. They never rostered a wide vision caboose, or the SW7.

A few shots of the N Scale layout I visited today at the South Bay Historical Railroad Society open house. Since my photos of moving trains tend to come out blurred I am mostly sticking to some of the static scenes.

Southern Pacific MoW trucks, some custom made from Bachmann N scale trucks.
    SBHRS7.jpg

I had been a member of this club many years ago and had built this residential scene for the N scale layout. Glad to see it's still in use and has been improved with many details and lighting added.
    SBHRS6.jpg

Next to the residential area is this business district that is part of the same town.

And a few from the HO layout. Same club, same open house.

The HO layout also has some nice Southern Pacific MoW trucks.

Thank you for the very kind words. As a former teacher I'm happy if even one person gets motivated to spend a bit extra on their scenery. Time is getting short and I will keep posting as long as I can. Jim

    Great modeling!!

That pic of the SP MoW, rarely do you see modeling of a slide fence on layouts where the tracks are up against a cliff or steep hill. Well done!!(y)

And that B17 dropping fire retardant-

    Genius!!! :D:cool:
