    Good morning from Northeast Ohio!

    This weeks completed cars!

First up is the Accurail car where I changed the door and grabs on a painted model and patched the paint saving the original lettering. Also added Moloco End of Car Cushioning Pockets and A-Line Sill steps to the Underframe along with an ACI label. Car was one of 200 used in Auto Parts service on the DT&I.

Next, an Athearn 65' Mill Gon kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red #2 and lettered with Mask Island Decals (Now Available from Highball Graphics). Also added a Duha pipe load to the car. Used in general service.

For an extra bonus this week, a Tangent 86' Double Door Hi-Cube kit, painted with Floquil GTW Blue, Scalecoat II Silver and White paints and lettered with CMR Decals. Car was one of 4 of this class on the Detroit and Toledo Shoreline Railroad participating in one of the Auto Parts pools as there were no Auto Parts or Assembley plants on the D&TSL.

A pair of Athearn GP40-2's with some coil steel cars and auto parts boxcars running on the Strongsville Railroad Club layout, which will be open this weekend during the Historical Society's Christmas Festival.

    Thanks for looking!

The Eagle! (Or a reasonable facsimile thereof!) Well @rjthomas909, there is just too much to say about this pic. Firstly, don't rock the boat! Secondly, the turtles are organizing a boat theft. (I wonder why?) Thirdly, the darn scene looks real. To sum it up: FRISCO RULES!. Here comes the Chief! @dti406, sharp cars. Great info.

The local club layout has one especially photogenic spot, right in front of the Very Yellow House.

I saw that unit today and thought it was really nice. (y) It runs well. I tried to grab a shot of it, but messed up. Your shot turned out great.

Thanks! I had to cheat a little and slow it down to a crawl to get a good photo, my first few attempts ended up being sharp pictures of the foreground trees

It's a GE 70-ton switcher, with some Southern Pacific specific details added.

Alright got the wires inserted correctly, me thinks? These WS traffic lights are awesome. Love them :) Even though they are static, I am very, very happy! The WS lights are one of my favorite things on the layout, when I have them all installed and working. Oh oh, giant coffee cup in pictures :) As usual with lights they are all blurred. And not straight either, needs some work for sure. But with Low light in the room, they look amazing. Apparently everyone is going Christmas shopping I guess, very busy intersection.

A picture with the overhead fan light OFF! iPhone is still making pictures too bright. No idea why? I'll have to investigate! Really like the RPS trucks too! Very cool!

The CCD sensors in cameras included in phones and tablets can be really sensitive. The automatic exposure circuit compensates for varying lighting conditions, and it's obvious that you turned the light off - the camera automatically lengthened the exposure or lowered the f-ratio to maintain brightness, seen by the blurring effect caused by the reduction of the depth of field (less of the photo is sharp). In those conditions, sensitivity to shaking will also be a problem.

I'd take a look in your phone's camera settings for something about exposure adjustment. You'd see numbers like +1 or -1 or -2. It's like stopping up or down on a regular camera. Take a few pictures to experiment and find the right setting.

Forgot to mention on the 4th photo of the WS Traffic Lights I drilled a hole right smack in the middle of that small road. I'll have to figure something out, or fix it :) My bad! I got so excited I didn't even notice it till recently!
