Depending on your budget, and whether you have locomotives with sound decoders.
sound decoders: - Z21, ESU Cab Control, ESU Ecos, Digikeijs DR5000
no sound decoders: - power cab

I had a Zephyr, Chief. I also tried the MRC command products. At the moment I have a "white" z21 system at home and the DR5000. Both use the Z21 App to control trains from iOS and Android devices. DR5000 also has loconet ports so all loconet accessories can be used with it. To use loconet with the Z21 you need to purchase the "black" Z21.

I do not have experience with ESU products (other than decoders and decoder accessories). But they appear to be very user friendly.

One other consideration, what is the voltage you want to run your trains on?

For N scale NMRA recommends 12 Volts and that basically limits you to just Z21 (you can set output voltage of command station digitally). European NEM allows for about 14 volts output of DCC. That gives you DR5000, Z21, and ESU.
