I am staying in a cabin 45 minutes away from the Apache Railway, my cell takes crappy pictures...screw it, I am going
Well, if nothing else, you can get us a report about current doings on that RR. It has been a while since anyone talked about their status.
they are right next to a lumber company, and they have a locked gate half a mile away from the yard...don't try to go there on a weekend. Looks like they are in decent shape, saw a lot of tank cars
Nice selfie. Cell phone takes a good picture after all. So you find yourself in the desert heat and you can't get near the Apache Railroad. Security is tight and they aren't friendly to foamers. I know the feeling. Same thing here in Idaho country. Hey, I'm a foamer and proud of it. You might want to call their office and request a tour or at least a greet and meet. Stay cool.
Security was lax, I didn't want to be arrested for trespassing, and the camera is only decent in selfie mode
I seldom push the issue of trespassing. I don't own it therefore I don't have the right to be on it. I think you'll be surprised with their response if you give them a call. What? The worst it's going to be is NO !! By the way my phone doesn't work any better. I expect more from my photographs then it can give me.
I try to be careful about trespassing too. It's about more than me. If I act irresponsibly around rail property, I'll ruin it for fans that follow me. I'll bet a number of responsible fans at various locations get the bum's rush only because an idiot fan has preceded them.
