I live in Phoenix and tried to start a club here, but got zero hits. So i have a layout on a hollow core door. I get it out and run trains by my lil ol self. I love T trak.
Hello all! As planning progresses We'll be updating this page regularly...I do want to clear up a few things that we've been hearing here and there.. 1) no tables will need to be furnished by attendees... We've heard all the chatter about past shows and venues, and the issues with tables, etc. We're working to make sure that tables will be available and there will be NO need for module participants to provide any. 2) There will be NO participation fee to be part of the layout! We're organizing and planning this event so that there will be no charge for your participation in the T-TRAK layout. 3) Along the same theme- membership in the NMRA is NOT required to participate in this layout at the National Train Show, nor are participants in the layout required to sign up and attend the NMRA Convention- The Convention is separate from the National Train Show (although both are NMRA hosted events) 4) Again...if you are interested in attending, email us at layout@t-trak.org please include your name, contact info, and a description of your module(s), including dimension, wiring, and any other information... Hello all! We've been HARD at work organizing the T-TRAK layout at the NMRA National Train Show coming up this August in Kansas City! The Sponsorship donations are pouring in ( we continue to solicit to guarantee a fun, free event for this year and future shows), tables are secured, commemorative mugs and plaques are designed and contracted, AND, at this moment, the layout is 80% filled with, still, 5 months left to the event! If you still want to participate in the massive, history-making layout, don't wait to return your participant form as soon as possible! We've worked hard to make this event (participation in the NTS layout) free for all participants, including badges for the National Train Show itself, but, after May 1st, anyone who wants to participate in the layout will have to secure their own exhibitor badge from the NMRA, at a cost of $15.00. Every participant will receive a Commemorative Mug and plastic engraved plaque, and will also be eligible for numerous contests and awards! The layout will also feature modules from Sponsors KatoUSA and Model Railroader Magazine. As it stands right now, even at 80% filled, the mainline run is approx 40 scale miles, making this layout (assuming everyone committed shows) a World Record breaking T-TRAK layout! The remaining 20% will add to the record. The layout fills a space 50' x 68' and is featured right at the front entrance to Bartle Hall (Kansas City Convention Center) allowing T-TRAK and N scale to be the first layout that the viewing public will see upon entering the National Train Show! Volunteers and infrastructure are being put into place to ensure that arrival, setup, and operations go as seamlessly as possible; allowing participants to enjoy every moment of their experience. If you can't attend this year, please consider making a small donation to 'the cause' to help us continue to make this, and future National T-TRAK layouts always free to all participants! Not next month... Not next week... Not tomorrow... But NOW!!! Remember, this event is FREE to exhibitors/participants in this layout ( as long as we have your participant form on file before May 1st) One does NOT need to be registered for the NMRA convention, NOR even a member of the NMRA, to attend the National Train Show, and/or be a participant in this incredible layout at the show. ...and, not only is this event FREE to all participants, but, as a participant, you will receive, FREE, a decorative mug, and an engraved plastic plaque, commemorating the event. The latest layout diagram for the 2018 NTS T-TRAK layout in Kansas City! Participants, so far, from 13 different states and 3 countries! So Far: 254 Doubles, 10 Singles, 31 corners, and 27 Junctions! outside run, alone, is approximately 26 scale miles! Again, if you haven't submitted your participant form for this fantastic event, the time to do it is NOW!
Congratulations!!! You've done it! This incredible, historical layout is now at capacity! Your response has been amazing and we KNOW that a great time will be had by all this August in Kansas City! While we are not closing down further participant applications, we are obliged to say that we may not be able to completely accommodate modules submitted after today- we'll have to address each situation individually. As in any event or function, there will probably be some last minute cancellations and attrition due to unforeseen issues affecting confirmed participants, so, please, if you are still interested in attending and participating in this historic layout, continue to monitor this page and/or contact us at layout@t-trak.org And we will do everything we can to try and include you in the event!
