Former Milwaukee Road bridge over the Snoqualmie River, on the line between Cedar Falls to Monroe, Wa. Now a trail.
Love it. I know this bridge so well. I recall many a day of weather such as this pictured. Foggy, cool, drismal......
I do recall seeing the SD7 units. I was a youngster, (1950's), way back then. Now just an old fart with fading memories.
Unfortunately no, been pulled up for awhile now, early 80's, after the Milwaukee Road scaled back to the midwest.
This line, a severed branch, segment was pulled early 1990's. The first chunk went in flooding, (Everett to Monroe), late 1930's. The next (High Rock to Snoqualmie Falls), came out in 1975. Then
Fished it; chased the Milw there; picked mushrooms nearby; visited (as a boy) friends in the adjacent mill town; hunted brush bunnies on the hills nearby (Weyco lands); etc, etc... Former valley resident and very local area native.
