I am going to enjoy watching this build. The image shows some interesting lettering on the sides, with the B end of the car stenciled MW Fuel oil and a small dome there. And water on the other end. So it is split somewhere within the tank. What an interesting car, looks like you will have fun along they way on this build.
Looking fwd to learning more about this car, I always enjoy building and seeing MW modeling, good stuff.

What a neat project! What scale is this? N? Walthers is generally off my radar.

    Ho old proto-lifelike Walters.

Car was given to me so don't know the heritage.

Yes a split car is weird but notice one tank strap had slipped and is off center.

    But the tanks secure boss.

Have no idea on this tanks history sorry gang just thought it was a cool tank car that my freelanced road needed.

Will update when I have more progress all thanks for stopping in.

Haven't forgotten just real busy with a weathering challenge item I'm working on should have more on this after June 30th.

When the challenge ends then I can get started on other projects and building a layout .

Hopefully an update soon thanks for hanging in there.

Small update but still an update.

Arrived in the mail today was a pair of old MDC shay water fills.

These almost look real close to the smaller one on the tank meaning less scratchbuilding plus the detail is there for the hinges and latch.

So till next time enjoy still a little here little there is better than nothing at all.
