The last still used daily "S"-curved wooden trestle has fallen, on the ex-Milwaukee Road in Tacoma, Wa.... Before....
There's some still in the streets that cross Puyallup Ave, but not used anymore. The Tacoma light rail barn is below this, but that's all. It's the white peaked roof in the center of the pic.
Kurt, did you catch any of the superb photographic coverage of this entire project by Steve Carter on other websites? He did a terrific job. Shame that unique trestle is now gone.
No, missed it. I used to be on FB, and friends with him, but not on there anymore. Sad day for sure.....
