I was just on FaceBook only to discover that he passed away earlier today. Thor was a significant presence in both tinplate and toy train collecting and track planning world, as well as the vintage army man collecting community. He and I had a late night internet conversation a couple months back and I must say he was a very kind and knowledgeable man. It was kind of funny, because I met him through his army man FB group as I am researching games, and only half way into the discussion did I realize he was the Thor of Thor Trains. http://www.thortrains.net/ We lost a good one today.
That's terrible news. I read quite a bit of his posts about toy soldiers over the years. He was still posting to his blog last month. http://thortrains.blogspot.com/
I just took a look at the link. Some cool stuff there. Hopefully his website/blog will remain for a while as a tribute to his contributions to the hobbies. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
