The tunnel motors. Seems like only yesterday when we all read about them and that they had to make them so they could draw air in from low down in the tunnels so they wouldn't overheat. Doug
Back in the late 90s there was an outfit called Seattle Film Works who sold rolls of 35mm film that were some 35mm movie film that had been cut to length and re-spooled into 35mm still camera canisters. It required ECN-2 processing so they had to develop it. You were therefor obligated to mail the film in for them to develop because no one else would touch it. It was still a little less expensive than Kodak so I used it for a while. Well, you got what you paid for. It was not as sharp a grain and the colors were kind of weird. Anyway, in June of 2001 the BNSF borrowed the Frisco 1522 to pull their employee special through Texas and that was what I had loaded in my camera at the time.
BNSF 573, parked for the weekend, just east of town. Looks like someone touched the decal as it was setting! My first photos in over 3 months! Have not done anything since the hospital for the Staph infection!
