If you're running only diesels, you should have no problems. If you plan to run an occasional steam excursion, I cannot guaranty the same answer.

He's right, you know--but there's one thing: It might not be a good idea to fall in love with the DDA40X.

I doubt it. Certain old school 85' piggybqck flats, if anything at all.

If you are also using KATO locomotives, then you will certainly be fine. I can run mine at least on 18” radius. I’ve heard the new P42 can take 14” radius. Almost any car or locomotive can take a 4 at switching speeds. I would stay away from autoracks or F89 flatcars just to be safe. You could test them, but make sure you aren’t wasting your money if they don’t work.

So I think the autoracks and F89s will WORK, they just won't look pretty doing it.
YOu may experience some binding from the big 6 axles. My bigger concern would be what is your minimum radius in your other curves? Because I know for a fact that 6 axles really want a little more than 18" radius.

my curves will be 22 and 24 inch radius's i know abotu the 18r cruves an 6afle locos not going togheter well i wish kato had #5s thsoe would be a better solution but it is what it is i just was wondering if the #4s would give me regrefulheadaches
