    Hi all

I have a HobbyTrain loco, that runs OK in analog, but the Mashima motor grinds, with an old Lenz Gold mini+ (circa 2010)

I put in a new LokPilot V4 Micro. It still runs in analog mode. Lights work. I can affect CV values. I can do the autotune, setting CV54 to 0 and hitting F1. The loco moves forward and stops, as he instructions say it will

    It likes
    CV 51 0
    CV 52 18
    CV 53 37
    CV 54 44
    CV 55 18

BUT! I can't make the loco move using my PowerCab. So I'm reading about, what to do. The instructions want any caps wired between the motor terminals and chassis, removed. Can/should any of components 1-4 come out? Will I need to jumper the spots?
Update, it runs with CV 56 = 0 (Compensation off)
Update - I reset the decoder, ran autotune, but low end is a horrible grind. My question remains, on what components, should I remove? Will I need to jumper any I remove?

Solved, but it does leave me wondering if NEM 651 decoders always lead to board surgery.
