    Hi, All
I was wondering if there is a gallery of kit-bashed projects on the forum, specifically, kits made by the top makers of z scale kits? I got into z scale in 1994. back then everything was European in design. The few kits that were available from Marklin, Faller, etc...did not go with my urban, East Coast railroading ambitions. Over the years I have converted almost all of them into something more to my tastes. I'd really like to see other modelers' versions of these kits if they are out there. I typed "kit-bashing projects" and got a "NOT FOUND" reply. There is plenty about scratch-building but not any on kit-bashing. I may be looking in the wrong place. Thanks, Jim

The Peco N scale turntable can be kitbashed into a nice Z scale one. Seen here outside the Cuyahoga roundhouse.

I milled the centre out so a length of peco streamline flexi track dropped in,added the control cabin and electrical feed hoop. The electrical pick up plungers are wired to the bottom of the rails. The pit is left as standard.

Roundhouse is scratchbuilt and is a fairly accurate rendition of the Nickel Plate facility at Calumet

It was motorised initially with a gearbox made of Meccano gears. The sound was horrendous and could be heard at the other end of the hall at shows. People thought I was grinding coffee beans behind the layout! So I've ripped that out and am going to fit a handcrank at the back of the layout to operate it.

Another useful N scale item is the Peco modern loco shed. This is scaled for European size N scale locos so the much bigger U.S prototypes in Z look just right

This is sat in the yard on Shasta. The bridge in the background is also an N scale bridge ( sorry can't remember the manufacturer, Faller, I think) converted to a road overbridge

The block concrete is some Evergreen embossed sheet I had lying around, I'm going to plants some weeds in some of the cracks in the future to soften it up

Looks Great Kevsmith! I'm still working on getting mine together in Z scale a little slow like a snail! One is a single Engine house and a smaller turntable. I also have a complete table 360. These are all Z scale. 3D printed but doing the larger Engine roundhouse in 3D printing will really cost so I might have to kit bash one! thanks!
