This is just gathering parts at the moment.

Start with an old boley water tanker.

Remove the cab via the lone screw behind the front bumper.

After cab removal look it over to see what mods will need to happen in this case i'll need to build a completely new frame for the tank and cab.

Now deciding what cab i wanted to use was that hard went on the net looked up fire tankers.

Found a photo i'll be using as a base.

Parts hunting in my stash came across a wiking peterbilt tractor stole the cab for this project the sleeper will go to another project.

Test fit the Pete cab on the boley chassis to get a feel for the truck and see what mods need to be done hence finding out I need to build my own chassis.

Then dry fit laid it up with the light bar just say on top of the cab.

This will become a red with white trimmed tanker the tank will get stripped then redone with a bare-metal foil matte aluminum tank as in 1979 chrome wasn't the in thing yet.

Will also be changing out the rims 2 hole steel rears painted red with silver bead, 10 hole disc Steel painted to match rear rims front
